About
Divine Beginnings International (DBI) is a faith based, two-year, transitional program designed to provide holistic healing, restoration, and empowerment to abused women and their children. Founded with a passion to break cycles of abuse, trauma, and hopelessness, DBI serves as a launching pad for new beginnings. ​

We exist in direct response to the growing number of women and children affected by physical, emotional, mental, sexual, and financial abuse. DBI stands in the gap by offering immediate support and long-term solutions. ​

Our approach is rooted in love and guided by faith. ​ Every aspect of DBI is designed to reignite hope and restore purpose. We don’t just meet needs. We believe in people. We rebuild families, we change lives.
Mission
Divine Beginnings International exists to heal the wounded, restore dignity, affirm identity and worth, and empower purpose in those impacted by trauma and rejection. Through intentional nurturing, supportive care, and compassionate guidance, we strengthen mothers, uplift children, and transform generations toward lasting wholeness.
Vision
To demonstrate by our words and our actions the unconditional love of Jesus Christ to hurting and abused women and their children so that they may experience life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.
About The Founder
Marcia Wynn was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica until she migrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1975. She became pregnant at age 17, and was left to raise her daughter as a single mother. Still single at age 26, and now with 3 daughters, Marcia found herself taking in and caring for 2 teenage girls in her home. This beginning of care for young women became a passion and the driving force for this move into ministry to help hurting and abused women and their children.
Over the next few decades, Marcia suffered trauma, drama and disappointments throughout her life. After several years and numerous attempts to solve her life issues, Marcia surrendered to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her journey with God led her to the root of her life’s challenges/difficulties which was REJECTION. This discovery led her to a series of research and spiritual insights that brought deliverance to her life and her family.
Marcia’s life message has become, to Affirm, Encourage, Empower and Educate women and their children that there is hope and deliverance through the Word of God and a relationship with Christ. Divine Beginnings International is a vehicle bringing hope, deliverance, education and restoration to rebuild families and change lives.
Divine Beginnings began in Marcia’s heart in 1985, and since then everything she did was to prepare her for birthing this vision/mission that was conceived. In 2003, she graduated from 2 years of bible college and in 2014, she graduated from community college obtaining a social service worker diploma. Marcia began her counseling practice in Montego Bay Jamaica in 2017. She also counseled at her local church with the congregants and others. Her passion to see individuals live their best life brought her success in her practice and in her position as lead counselor at her church.
In 2015, Marcia married her husband Robert Forrest who supports her vision to bring agape (unconditional love) to young women and their children by arming them with the information about the thief to life’s destiny – rejection.

Mrs Marcia Forrest….
As a counsellor Mrs Forrest embodies a composed individual who listens, examines and offer sound advice. When speaking to Mrs Forrest one is comfortable knowing that he/she will not be judged or talk down on.
